Apple Street Concept
Apple Street Landscape Concept Plan
This concept plan was prepared for a residential property located in Asquith, New South Wales. The brief was to create a private retreat that included both native and cottage plants to suit a Neo-English cottage residence.
Facing onto a busy road the plantings around the windows were designed to enclose the space and offer a romantic frame for the cirgular lawn beds. A large Cassia tree dominates the front yard so plants were selected to cope with both limited sunshine and water.
The side garden required additional privacy from overlooking neighbours, achieved with soft fencline plantings of Australian natives. To the Western border a soft fernery was added as an understory planting to provide a lush backdrop to the in-deck spa. Finally, gravel paths were installed throughout to create texture and improve drainage.
